A new business often feels pressure to become visible immediately. That can lead to a website being designed before the proposition, audience and message are clear. The opposite extreme—months of abstract brand work before anything reaches a customer—is not useful either.
Start with the decisions the website depends on
Before interface design begins, clarify who the business is for, the problem it solves, the reasons to believe it and the action a visitor should take. These decisions create the minimum viable brand strategy.
Build the identity and digital experience together
The visual identity should be tested in real applications: navigation, landing pages, forms, presentations and social content. That produces a more useful system than designing a logo in isolation.
Connect launch activity early
Search foundations, analytics, content and campaign landing pages belong in the website plan—not as tasks added after launch. The best order is strategy, connected design, build, activation and improvement.
